Daphne and Apollo

Worked for around 20 hours on this sculpt of a scene from Ovid's Metamorphosis. The Sun god want to rape the nymph Daphne. She runs for her life but the god caught her. Before he can do anything, she asks her father to turn her into a tree.

In this sculpt, Apollo is present only by the fantomatic hand grasping her breast. All the emphasis is put on the nymph and her transformation.
